As part of my role in the Innovation Labs at Thomson Reuters I had regular interaction and collaboration with other creative design teams within the company, for example, the TR Graphics Team, Content & Enterprise Channels, Marketing and Global Creative Services. I frequently worked with these teams to produce creative designed content outside the normal remit of the Labs of working on proof-of-concept (PoC) style projects.
One such project was a Though Leadership piece on the rise over time and on a global scale of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and the advent and embrace of Blockchain, as distributed ledger technology.
Working with story writers, IT and creative teams, I was requested to produce some simple interactive content pieces illustrating recent trends at a global level over time and space for uptake in 10 most common cryptocurrencies, and the global acceptance/rejection of cryptocurrencies at national level. Data and the story were provided by colleagues in the Content & Enterprise Channels, and these products were created through regular review process involving critiquing the content at weekly meetings. Completion and release of this article helped mark the launch of the new tr.com public-facing website.
