The Sentry approached Thomson Reuters Labs in early 2018 asking us to produce a set of high quality, thought-provoking explanatory illustrations for their planned Thought Leadership report detailing correspondent banking relationships in South Sudan.

Working with the World-Check Risk Intelligence team in Washington D.C. and The Sentry, this project ran for about 6 months from May to November 2018, using an iterative design and review process with the project’s main stakeholders.

The illustrations shown here (aside from the report’s front cover) are those create by myself during this project.

Through working with The Oil Research team based in London on a separate project, they also were keen for my input into other reporting deliverables they produced. This was with the aim to improve the experience and readability for their customers, notable on monthly and special reports the team produced on a regular basis.

This report was produced through collaboration with colleagues based in United Arab Emirates, and contains a number of images I produced to help visualise and explain global oil trade issues in the Middle East at political and geographic levels.

Note: This project was undertaken during my time working at Thomson Reuters Labs.

The Oil Research team approached me to improve the visual content of their monthly reports, beyond the typical Excel-based styled content produced within the team typically produced themselves. I was extremely keen to help another business area within Thomson Reuters who needed to visualise their data, but would not typically get to wok with the Innovation Labs on our normal proof-of concept style projects with the aim of improving their outputs to their customers.

Working with the Thomson Reuters Oil Research team based in London, this project ran from May to August 2018, using an iterative design and review process with the project’s main stakeholders. Visuals were initially drafted in D3, before exporting the SVG content to Adobe Illustrator to apply a final polish and refine to each piece before publication.

This infographic was produced to support a white paper publication released by World-Check Risk Intelligence in late 2016. The initial design created by myself through collaboration with the World-Check Risk Intelligence team based in Washington D.C. to define the case study and facts to present, and with the company’s Branding team to align the final piece with the corporate visual definition.
