Note: This project was undertaken during time spent working in the Thomson Reuters Labs.
The World-Check Risk Intelligence team based in Washington D.C. needed a conference flyer handout to be produced rapidly inside of two weeks to be used at a scheduled conference attendance. This was to be handed out to prospective clients, customers and potential future users of the resource during break-out sessions at the multi-day event. Daily collaboration and discussion was had with eh analytics team before the final design was sent to a ‘local’ printers in Florida to produce the final print run.
This product received excellent feedback from both the World-Check team and attendees at the conference; for example:
Strategic Business Development, Finance & Risk, Thomson Reuters: “We printed 2,000 copies · Used them for our largest AML conference of the year (ACAMS), generating dozens of warm sales opportunities (I’m estimating since I know [colleagues] alone generated a dozen or so, …). · I’m purely estimating here but that could represent a pipeline of over $100–200k USD annual revenue (if we get 2-3 nice sized opportunities that come out of it, it could be even more) · Please note that we are planning to leverage this for another two conferences, so it’s not just limited to ACAMS · Please also note that the graphic can be leveraged in emails, so it is likely to see many additional sales touch points.”
Sales, Finance & Risk, Thomson Reuters: “I talked to at least another dozen existing clients at ACAMs that only took that document and none of our other literature. Most of our competitors try to sound like us through their marketing material and somemes it’s difficult for our prospects/clients to remember our key differentiators. This is a quick and easy, 30 second read, that hits home with why we are the best. I think Jeff Woods said that he read somewhere humans have an aenon span less than goldfish now…this was a perfect brochure for who we were talking to at the conference and I suspect this will be used for quite a bit of internal selling to get budget approval.”
